The Queen Scout Award (King Scout Award prior to the accession of Queen Elizabeth II to the throne) is the highest badge award given to Venturers (formerly known as Senior Scouts). It is a very difficult award to gain and is only awarded after completing a series of associated badge work tasks and a log book. Originally it was awarded to Scouts who held the Bushman's Thong and four of the Senior Public Service Badges - Air Observer, Ambulance, Civics, Conservation, Dispatch Rider, Fireman, Handyman, Interpreter, Leading Signaller, Pathfinder, Pilot, Public Health, Rescuer.
